In Uganda, the healthcare infrastructure faces unique challenges due to high patient volumes and varied environmental conditions. Many regional hospitals still rely on aging hospital furniture that lacks ergonomic support, leading to increased pressure ulcers and caregiver strain in busy wards.
The humid tropical climate of Uganda accelerates the wear and tear of metal components. There is an urgent need for corrosion-resistant materials in every patient bed to ensure longevity and maintain hygiene standards across both urban centers like Kampala and rural clinics.
Furthermore, the logistical difficulty of transporting patients between departments has highlighted a critical shortage of specialized equipment. The demand for a robust patient transfer trolley has grown as hospitals move toward more integrated emergency response and surgical workflows.
